Dress for comfort, men and women dress as if they were going to the beach..some dress as if they are going to an inside venue..no one cares as long as you are enjoying the entertainment..
Yes. Or, at least I've seen dogs in the patio area numerous times.
I don't know about Thorton, but I wouldn't get my hopes up, Lorimar canceled their events. Also there seems to be a ban on crowds over 50 people and wine tasting is also not allowed, although I heard many are available for pickup or shipping.
I feel like I was able to do it in January of this year. Maybe call and see if they'll honor their website coupon since they still have it up.
21 & over for wine...plenty of room outdoor patio restaurant for everyone to enjoy.
You need to check their website or call them
Champagne Coffee
Different prices depending on which tour you choose. Calling ahead of time is best.
Tried red wine flight and it was very good. Also had a few different appetizers and they were also great. The calamari was excellent and is a must try
This is a nice winery with a good restaurant for lunch. Lots of parking available. Their concert season brings in really good musicians and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. It’s an outside venue and you can buy a ticket for just the concert or a package that includes a very good 3-course dinner, which is served during the concert. Tables have table cloths and nice glassware - and dance floor is also open during concert. It’s a great date night - highly recommend.
We loved this winery. The sparkling wine is made by méthode champenoise and is truly 👌 we were also surprised with a fascinating and thorough tour given by Shelagh. It’s definitely worth a visit!
Food was great, the wine 🍷 was nice and chill. Service was outstanding!
Always great, been up here about 6 times the last 5 years. Staff is very nice and attentive. Food is always excellent. The focaccia bread they bring out is so good!Get the Angry Wife wine, it's quite refreshing!
Beautiful winery. Awesome food and a great staff
Had a wonderful 17th year Anniversary with my husband. Service was the best I had in years and they all went above and beyond during the end of their work day to make my son comfortable. I can't help but praise them for my positive experience. This was my second time in Temecula at Thornton Winery. Husband enjoyed the food, son slept through it comfortably because waiter provided him a makeshift pillow, and they surprised us with dessert to celebrate our day. I love the kiss of chocolate wine so much, I took a bottle home. Thank you Thornton for making our experience a memorable one. Much love and appreciation to all staff.
Over priced! Went for lunch and I dont think I’ll ever go back. Turkey sandwich $23?!? My wife and I split that with a flight of champagne “basically tastings” another $30 and somehow got charge a split meal charge without being notified. Service good but overpriced 😞
Went last night to the Summer Horn concert, the concert was outstanding, by all the performers. I always do the VIP setting. Last night our table alone with 2 other ladies, we were so cramped in. The tables are so closed together, no leg room. I will keep attending the concerts but will not do VIP anymore. The food was not that great last night, what they charge for a VIP package one would think a soft drink and lemonade would come with the meal, it didn't.
7 open tables made us wait, left after 20 min of waiting... Not coming back here
Thornton Winery has been a great experience! The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The wine tasting was reasonably priced and was a good value. The menu options for lunch and dinner was very nice and moderately priced for the quality of the food. It was visually fun, and tasted great! Loved the charcuterie platter! Definately one not to miss! Atmosphere is open and inviting, and provides a perfect relaxing experience. Don't miss the gift shop!
Really bad service. We had reservations. Waiter never took our order until 50min after. Then we asked for them to clean our table and didn’t until we asked 3 times to do it. We asked the waiter if they took the yelp 2/1 they honored the people behind us and to our left but when it came to us.
We had a delicious lunch. Great service and atmosphere.
Great wine & food plus wonderful patio!
This place was pretty cool, wine was pretty good. Ordered the soup, I believe it was a cauliflower and asparagus bisque of some sort. It was really good! Good service too.
Lovely surroundings, excellent restaurant, best place for relaxing lunch or dinner in Temecula's wine country.
We enjoy the brunch. Limited wine options, go for the champagne.
Good food. A little pricey, but worth the atmosphere if you like wine!
Amazing cooking class with chef Solarzano. All the servers were exceptional. Wonderful experience.
Wine was good. Loved chocolate kiss, the rest were good but not as awesome as hoped.Service in the tasting room was also good.
Very good food. Very good service. Scott was great
After being members for 2 yrs and recently putting our membership on hold when we lost our jobs bc of covid-19, they refused a free tasting when we drove down from Burbank to pick up our 4 bottles of wine. No apology, no empathy. Good riddance to Thornton!
The food was amazing. Great place for dinner!
Such a nice and beautiful place. This is my third visit, and the staff have all been lovely. They're all fairly to very knowledgeable about the wines. I especially recommend Nick. He really knows his stuff. The wines are very good, and the food, though expensive, is excellent. You can't beat the atmosphere, either. They have lots of outdoor seating, well shaded, with a lovely view. The music isn't too loud, either, at least on the upper patio. I wouldn't drive to Temecula just to come here, but if I'm anywhere near, this is the place to come.
Got seated and served water really quick. Waited 20min for someone to take our wine and food order and it never happened so we left. On to the next winery, there are a ton to choose from here.
Beautiful setting and great win. This place is perfect for birthdays.
Good food and wine !😀❤️
Well deserved chill day before 4th of July Thornton winery was the second stop today provided a nice atmosphere even during these difficult times. Masked up as usual which was good to see, these precautions are carried out before entering their establishment. Reservation were needed to eat or wait for a long time. Enjoyed the time I spent there with my girl, hope to visit again.
Amazing time had by all. Dinner and a show second to none. Dave Bennoit and Mark Antionne beautifully pair the piano with guitar to make a magical opening act. The Rippingtons sealed the night with a righteous jam session.
Amazing selection of fine wines and champagnes at very reasonable prices. Wonderful and knowledge staff on hand to assist you with your wine tasting. We had a great time and will be back to enjoy a concert and dinner. 🍸🍷🎶🎵🎺🎺🎸
Nice place and great service
Great food, awesome wine and excellent service!
Worst brunch in California. Food was nothing special, actually it was pretty bad. Way overpriced. Awful service. Tacky atmosphere. Don’t recommend this place at all. If you’re looking for a good brunch spot - try Miramonte, right down the road. Best breakfast ever!
Spinach salads with goat cheese cake patty was excellent! Vermentino was crisp but lacked the complexity of flavor that I expected. Christy was a great server. Butterscotch bread pudding was sweet and dangerous!
We came there for a nice breakfast on Sunday. They had some sound guys checking his own voice for 1 and 1/2 hours. My husband is a sound board engineer and had never seen something like this ever. As a therapist the sound guys diagnosis is a narcissist. Over all very disrupted and in called for. People were picking up their wine glasses and moving to get away from the hour and a half of the sound guy listening to his own voice. I would recommend not to go there before a concert is playing
We had the same experience as Bobby. We got served water, and then waited. There was staff everywhere but couldn't get our waiters attention for 20 minutes or so. We almost left. Just as we were about to, he showed up so we stayed. To say the food is overpriced is an understatement. Nothing wrong with it, but $25 for a cheeseburger that was good, but nothing special. So maybe the ambience is amazing, nah. Nothing special there also. For that kind of money, I expect stellar service and possibly a view. Next time will pass. Better choices around.
This review is for the RESTAURANT only. We did not visit the winery. We were recommend to come here for the food, the burgers in particular. I am not sure if it was what we ordered (chicken burger and shrimp scampi), but we were not impressed. We felt for the portions and quality of the food, it was not worth it. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and we had nice table by the window, but we were just not impressed by the food at all and felt we should have spent our money elsewhere.
Loved champagne. The vew is - ok.
The staff was absolutely amazing!! They did such a great job making sure everything was perfect and I could not have been happier with how everything went with the proposal. Beautiful vineyard and highly recommended!
Had a wonderful time here with friends for lunch. Wine tasting, delicious lunch, attentive staff, beautiful setting.
Spacious, comfy outdoor patio and gourmet offerings provide a special and gentle, socially distanced outdoor dining treat. Masks required in some areas.
Terrible experience. Clueless waitstaff. Absent management. Wrong food. Ridiculously overpriced "wine". Undrinkable "champagne". Ruined our day.
Great burgers and service!
We had the shrimp scampi. Very delicious and good amount of shrimp served. We also had the sweet wine flight. The 2017 muscat Canelli was our favorite. Our waiter, Jordan, was great. He provided the daily specials and descriptions of the items.
Thornton is our favorite winery! The location is beautiful, they have great wines and their food is the best! Oh, and we love the employees!
Checked out this winery restaurant with the wife on an anniversary trip to Temecula. Purchased a three glass wine flight in reduced sized glasses. Wine was average at best. Food was incredibly overpriced and our order got messed up. Will not go back and would not recommend.
Even amid the busyness Thornton Winery still managed to be a peaceful and serene location, we were a large group and we had a very nice time and we had the pleasure of enjoying our wine within the view of a bridal party that was getting ready for their daughters wedding. The father of the bride shared a lovely note he had just received from his daughter and we raised our glasses and toasted the happy couple. Many other guests stopped to chat with us. A lot of activity and the staff definitely had their hands full, and yet It was still rather magical...
